Description

Symphony Orchestra players II is one from a series of ten etching in the Symphony Orchestra Series. The etching plates were prepared and taken in to the QSO concert where I drew directly onto the surface to begin the task of etching these images into the metal plates. The black and white etchings lend themselves to depicting the formal occasion of the symphony concert. These works are editioned to 25.

Other Information

There have been three artist's books called QSO Players made with the complete ten etchings from this series. The paper used is Hahnmuler, which has been folded to form two pages. Both etchings for the two pages had to be printed concurrently, testing my skills as a printmaker and my sanity to the limit! Two books have been boxed by bookbinder June McNicol , and an artist's proof version encased in a perspex sleeve, made by artist Wim de Vos.
