Largo I is part of the Music Series. This collage uses a range of papers, ribbed, marbled, decorative and rusted. It explores the decorative and rich nature of the music, and the instruments that play it. Largo is an Italian musical term meaning broadly. Largo II is a mirror image of this work.

Exhibited

This work was included in the Helen Sanderson - the Music Series at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane. This exhibition closed in early March 2000.

Other Information

There are thirty one works in the Music Series.

Twenty of these works, including this one, will tour regional Queensland in 2000/2001 under the joint auspices of the Queensland Arts Council and the Queensland Performing Arts Trust.
