Forte Piano is part of the Music Series. This work is a collage using a range of papers, scanned sheet music, lace and a drawing torn from a sketch book and mixed media. The works in the music series are mounted with archival quality papers and glue. Forte Piano is an Italian musical term, meaning loud then soft.

Exhibited

This work was included in the 1999 exhibition Helen Sanderson - the Music Series at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane. This exhibition closed in March 2000.

There are thirty one works in the Music Series.

Twenty works from this series are touring regional Queensland in 2000/2001 under the joint auspices of the Queensland Arts Council and the Queensland Performiong Arts Centre.
