Description

Andante is part of the Music Series. This is a collage, using a range of papers, scanned imagery and old lace. These works are mounted with archival quality papers and glue. It explores the decorative and repetitive element of classical music. Andante is an Italian musical term, meaning at an easy walking pace.

This work was included in the Helen Sanderson - the Music Series at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane. This exhibition closed in early March 2000.

There are thirty one works in the Music Series.

Twenty of these works will tour regional Queensland in 2000/2001 under the joint auspices of the Queensland Arts Council and the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.
